We regularly advise our athlete, entertainer and media clients on day-to-day business affairs to complex financial litigation. Our attorneys have negotiated transactions in all major entertainment fields including book publishing rights, film options and literary purchases, music licensing, record contracts, and talent deals. We do not represent athletes in their professional team agreements but do regularly work with their agents, managers, financial advisors, accountants and other members of their team to advise on real estate, non-profit work and other business affairs.
Our media practice includes rights and compliance issues for advertising agencies, and high-profile internet properties. We are considered specialists in the area of Rights of Publicity including the protection of California Civil Code 3344 and post-mortem 3344.1 rights. In conjunction with our intellectual property practice, we protect athletes and entertainers rights in and to their inherent rights of persona.
